Solar Powered Motion Lights

Ranked 4.0 away from 5.0 by grihn inexpensive light Overall i am satisfied with this light, primarily because of low cost and my uses of it. I purchased two of these for my 8x10 utility shed...one to go outside, and one to go around. We mounted one outside of the front door just in case I need to get one thing from the shed in the evening, and also for the puppy whenever she goes outside on her behalf night company. We put the various other inside therefore it'll activate when I go in the shed, as there are not any windows and it is difficult to see in the sides on overcast days, despite the doorway available (I mounted the solar panel for the one exterior and ran the cable into the shed). Thus far in the 6 approximately months I had all of them, these lights have worked ideal for my application, but I do possess some complaints, which is a "great for the cost" particular product. Advantages quite easy to put in...took perhaps 30 minutes to put in each of them. They offer ample light for my needs while the battery pack hasn't already been lifeless once I've required it. Solar power was recommended, because my shed doesn't have capacity to it and it's maybe not essential enough to spend cash running electrical to it. Very affordable. Cons by using these, I'm afraid inexpensive means low priced. They feel really low high quality...they're lightweight and 100percent plastic. I have some issue on how these will hold-up to some time the weather, particularly the one which's attached entirely external. They also look low priced. The solar panel has a mounting bracket it doesn't help it become attached flush. Let me have the ability to mount it directly to the roof for the shed flush so it is not as apparent. I might get rid of the bracket and rig anything up. I really can not grumble way too much at this time, while they're however working, but I'm nevertheless skeptical as to how very long they'll last with icy Winters and rainy Springs. Basically will get 3-4 many years' usage from their website, i will be happy. Any less and it also'd be much more worth only buying an increased high quality light. December 29, 2015

Rated 3.0 out-of 5.0 by Ed somewhat challenging to regulate options we state i would suggest, but i really could go in either case now. This is exactly why 3-stars. This has three configurations onto it (light level, time and sensitivity). I cannot appear to have the correct stability such that it happens and stays on for more than 20 moments. I will hold using it. It was quite easy to set up and also the long cord from solar power to the light makes it easy to place the panel in which it'll get the most direct light. Creates extremely brilliant light. March 29, 2016

Ranked 2.0 out-of 5.0 by DF Bright but low priced Used this within my dead-end for about a few months until it ended switching in. You can't replace the electric batteries if they fail. Opt for one better built otherwise be ready to get another within per year April 4, 2016

Ranked 1.0 out of 5.0 by bean maybe not Worth the cash we Paird I purchased this about 2 months ago. I was installed under my carport from the weather condition. The solar screen was attached under the sun. After about 2 months it just quit working. We turned it off and allow it to recharge. It never ever worked once more. Would not recommend or purchase once more. April 1, 2016

Rated 3.0 out-of 5.0 by Zman Cheaply Built Worked for 4 months after which quit. After examining that the panel ended up being delivering present (it was ) I removed the battery pack and saw that there had been some "yuk" using one of electric batteries. We eliminated the external sealant getting a deeper appearance and as I accompanied one of many leads I saw which wasn't connected...the connecting tab had broke down and from appearances of connection had never ever already been in fact linked but had, by possibility, already been making a connection by laying together with battery pack in sealant they utilized. We soldered the text after checking to make sure the electric batteries did without a doubt have a charge.I am able to realise why there are so many bad reviews whilst the quality of the rechargeable-battery pack is sorely lacking. Rated 2.0 regarding 5.0 by melv installs easy maybe not great quality it is extremely simple to install, but Im dubious the set up will fail. (it hangs in the wall surface by one thin loss.) If it drops and doen't break I may rig anything up. The light is pretty brilliant, but despite having the motion sensor modified to large sensitiveness (maybe the adjustment is broken?) the light does not switch on until you tend to be about 10-12 feet from it. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by KatieP I feel better now using the solar safety light Was happy with item and purchased a second product. One captures driveway and entry in addition to other (mounted in a tree!) captures front door and screen. March 16, 2016
